Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Wood Machinist / Bench Joiner to join our workshop in Lenham Heath, Kent. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day manufacture of timber door frames, panelled doors, and other joinery components, working from drawings to produce accurate, high-quality products. The role involves setting up and operating woodworking machinery, assembling joinery, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace as part of a skilled production team.
Responsibilities:
Operations
- Operate woodworking machinery including saws, planers, spindle moulders.
- Manufacture and assemble joinery components to specification, including panelled door sets, frames, and other bespoke items.
- Read and interpret drawings, cutting lists, and work instructions.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of tooling and machinery.
- Perform other operation duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery, Wood Machining, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Competent in the use of a range of woodworking machines and hand tools.
Hours:
- Monday - Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm.
- Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm.
- 28 days holiday inc all bank holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
