Are you passionate about helping young people reach their potential?
Whether you come from an education, youth work, sports coaching, or care background, your skills could make a real difference to children & young people.
DegreeSix specialise solely in SEN and have worked closely with schools & provisions across Coventry and Warwickshire for the past 5 years. We support pupils in both mainstream and specialist settings, from early years to secondary, who need a little extra help with their learning, behaviour, and emotional development.
We’re currently seeking Behaviour & Learning Support Mentors to join our partner schools on a full-time & long-term basis, where you’ll be based in the same school each day, building meaningful relationships and making a long-term impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups with SEMH, Autism (ASD), ADHD, LAC, and behavioural needs.
- Acting as a positive role model and mentor, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
- Using de-escalation and behaviour management strategies to create a calm, safe, and supportive environment.
- Working closely with teaching staff, parents, and carers to celebrate progress and identify next steps for each child.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Experience supporting children or young people in schools, youth clubs, sports coaching, residential care, or similar environments.
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour support.
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome challenges and achieve success.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
If this sounds like you, please apply via email or contact Kirsty on [email protected] – we look forward to hearing from you!
