The Fox Excel is an independently run, family owned venue set inside a Grade II listed former tobacco warehouse, right next to ExCeL London. With 1,200 capacity across five distinct hireable spaces and a strong restaurant offering, we're looking for an Assistant Manager to lead day to day floor operations, with a particular focus on driving our food and restaurant service.

What you'll be doing
- Leading the floor team across bar and restaurant service.
- Driving the restaurant side specifically: covers, service pace, upselling, and guest experience, working closely with the kitchen team on execution.
- Overseeing bar operations, stock control, and service standards.
- Training and developing staff, and holding the team to a consistent standard.
- Supporting online review management and reputation.
- Getting hands on across every part of the operation day to day.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in bar or restaurant management, ideally within a pub or high volume hospitality setting with a strong food offering.
- A personal licence and/or food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- A natural leader, calm under pressure, comfortable in a fast paced environment.
- Genuine interest in hospitality and people, backed by a track record, not just enthusiasm.
