We are a time served skip hire business based in Llandudno Junction. We cover the central part of the North Wales coast, Kinmel Bay to Llanfairfechan, and down the Conwy Valley to Betws y Coed.
We are recruiting a new Skip Lorry Driver. Local knowledge will be very helpful, especially with the more remote areas we cover. You will need to be confident navigating around the area, using Google Maps, and What3Words if needed. You will be in the same vehicle, Monday to Friday, visiting our valued customers at ongoing job sites, and regular returning customers at their homes. This will require you to be skilled in spotting hazards, assessing access issues, and safely manoeuvring your vehicle to enable you to drop the skip where required. We pride ourselves on our customer service. You will be a part of that with this role being customer facing. Full job and H&S training will be given to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate a skip lorry.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspection of the vehicle.
- Use an app to accept jobs, and mark off completed jobs.
- Maintain a safe and professional driving environment.
- Comply with all traffic laws, while driving and while stopping at official places.
- Maintain and improve knowledge of Worldcare Wales Ltd services and policies.
- Comply with DOT regulations and safety standards.
Requirements:
- HGV Class 2 licence.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a commercial driver in a lorry driving position.
- Experienced in using HIAB equipment.
- A good knowledge of the local area.
Hours
24-40 hours per week. Full time or part time available
Pay: From £14.65 per hour
