As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Dorking, you will:

Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support for children with SEN

Supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, sensory needs, and communication needs

Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning resources where needed

Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and structured activities

Helping implement EHCP targets and individual support plans

Promoting a calm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who:

Must have experience working with SEN children
-
Must have a Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one

Is patient, caring, resilient, and reliable

Has strong communication and teamwork skills

Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
-
Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs
