We are looking for a motivated Trainee Technical Sales - Refrigeration professional to join our Refrigeration Sales and Technical teams in Morley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career that combines technical engineering knowledge with commercial sales skills within the refrigeration industry.
The Role
As a Trainee Technical Sales - Refrigeration, you will support customers, branches and direct sales teams with technical enquiries, product selection, quotations and customer support. Through structured training and hands-on experience, you will develop a strong understanding of refrigeration equipment, system applications, refrigerants and product selection while gaining valuable commercial experience.
You will build the skills required to manage technical enquiries independently, support customers with product solutions and develop towards a future role such as Sales Engineer, Sales Specialist, Technical Sales Engineer or Project Engineering professional.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing pre-sales and after-sales technical support to customers, branches and direct sales teams
- Responding to incoming enquiries and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate department or specialist where required
- Preparing quotations for refrigeration equipment, refrigerants and associated products
- Selecting refrigeration and air conditioning products for standard applications and systems
- Developing strong technical knowledge of refrigeration products, applications and system design principles
- Assisting customers with product selection and application enquiries
- Proactively following up quotations and gathering customer feedback
- Building strong customer relationships and developing an understanding of customer businesses and requirements
- Maintaining accurate records within CRM, quotation systems and company databases
- Supporting Technical Engineers, Application Engineers, Project Engineers and Refrigeration Sales teams with customer projects and enquiries
- Assisting in maintaining technical documentation and product information libraries
- Proactively contacting customers to identify sales opportunities and strengthen relationships
- Contributing towards departmental KPIs, sales targets and wider business objectives
This is a developmental, hands-on role that contributes directly to the quality of technical support provided to customers and branches, while supporting future growth within the Refrigeration Sales and Technical function.

- Salary - £27,846
- Hours – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 25 days holiday, increasing to 30 after 5 years
