Job Summary
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our home environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for young people's care, particularly in supporting children and young people with Emotional Behaviour Disorders, from 7 - 17 years. As the Deputy Manager, you will support the overall management of the facility, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of daily operations within the home.
- Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans for young people, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in young people's care.
- Maintain accurate records of young people's care and staff performance.
- Liaise with families and external agencies to promote effective communication regarding young people's wellbeing.
- Ensure the facility complies with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role within an EBD home setting.
- Strong knowledge of young people's care practices and principles.
- Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
- Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual young people's needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to young people.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care or Residential care are essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
