Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter supervisor to join our team on a self employed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, piping systems across various projects. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with a range of tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of plumbing systems.
Responsibilities
- Install piping systems in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
- utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plumber or Pipefitter with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Install LTHW, domestic hot and cold water and drainage pipework.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during installation or repairs.
- Familiarity with assembly processes related to piping systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing or welding are preferred but not essential.
- CSCS essential
