Overview
CDM Recruit are building a workforce of experienced Pipefitters for upcoming major industrial and energy sector projects across the North West, including carbon capture, process plant, heavy mechanical and large scale piping installation works.
We are looking to connect with pipefitters who can work safely, read drawings properly, maintain installation quality and operate to the standards expected on compliance driven projects where productivity, accuracy and documentation matter.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, fit up and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel and associated process pipework systems
· Read and interpret isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings and construction information
· Set out, align, support, flange and bolt piping systems in line with drawings and specifications
· Work closely with welders, supervisors, engineers and QA personnel to achieve required quality standards
· Support line checks, punch close out, pressure test preparation and pre commissioning activities where required
· Maintain tidy work areas and comply with permits, isolations and site procedures at all times
Requirements
· Proven experience as a Pipefitter within industrial, process, mechanical or heavy engineering environments
· Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS card
· Ability to read and work confidently from isometric drawings
· Experience installing carbon and stainless steel pipework to required tolerances
· Strong understanding of installation quality, spool identification, fit up and safe site working practices
Compliance and Verification
CDM Recruit are positioning for major projects where compliance standards are non negotiable. All cards, certificates, qualifications and competency evidence must be provided and will be verified prior to engagement.
Suitable applicants may also be asked to provide references, recent project history and supporting evidence relevant to the discipline advertised before progressing to client review or mobilisation.

These roles form part of our upcoming project pipeline, with start dates subject to client confirmation and mobilisation schedules.
Rates and working arrangements will be discussed with suitable candidates based on project scope, shift pattern, qualifications and proven experience.
