We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and growing commercial vehicle workshop in Peterborough.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Technician looking for a long-term position with excellent earning potential, ongoing training and genuine opportunities to progress into senior technician, workshop controller or supervisory roles.
The Role
You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Your duties will include:
- Routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repairs
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults
- MOT preparation and compliance work
- Completing accurate workshop documentation
- Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the workshop
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Level 3 HGV / Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification
- Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good knowledge of workshop and compliance standards
- A reliable, professional and team-focused approach
- A genuine interest in developing your career
