About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Factory Assembly Operative to join our growing, family-run manufacturing business based in Rugeley.
If you enjoy practical, hands-on work and take pride in doing a job well, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is based within our manufacturing facility and combines product assembly, quality checking, packing, dispatch and general warehouse duties. You'll play an important role in manufacturing and preparing our traffic management, parking and security products, which are supplied to customers across the UK.
As part of our dedicated team, you'll be employed as a Multi-Skilled Labourer, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across different areas of the business. Full training will be provided, so while previous manufacturing experience is beneficial, it's not essential.
If you want to work somewhere where you're a name, not just a number, and where your contribution genuinely makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Prepare manufactured products before powder coating.
- Assemble a wide range of products using hand and power tools.
- Carry out manual handling duties, including lifting heavier products where required. Applicants must therefore be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work throughout the day.
- Carry out quality inspections before products are dispatched.
- Pack products securely and accurately, ensuring daily dispatch deadlines are met.
- Receive, check and store incoming deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow instructions from your supervisor and be flexible to support other areas of the business when required.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience using hand and power tools would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
- A strong work ethic with pride in producing quality work.
- Excellent attendance, reliability and timekeeping.
- The ability to work independently once trained, as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A flexible approach and willingness to help wherever needed.
No previous manufacturing experience? No problem. If you're hardworking, reliable and eager to learn, we'll provide the training you need to succeed.
