Are you an experienced cleaner with hospitality experience, strong organisational skills, and a passion for maintaining beautiful spaces? We’re looking for a Housekeeper to help lead and coordinate our housekeeping team at our family-run countryside B&B.
Your Role as Housekeeper
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on cleaning duties and organisational responsibilities. You’ll take the lead in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that our guests love.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the cleaning and preparation of our accommodation and spa facilities to ensure they are spotless and guest-ready.
- Coordinating and training with housekeeping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Managing laundry operations, including washing and replenishing sheets, towels, and robes.
- Keeping public areas clean and welcoming for guests.
- Monitoring and restocking essential cleaning supplies, mini-bars, and guest amenities in rooms and communal areas.
- Conducting fire and health & safety checks as part of the team.
- Ensuring that outdoor resting and entrance areas and gardens are tidy and well-kept.
What You Need to Know
- This is a physically active role, as our property is large, with multiple staircases and outdoor spaces. If you’re someone who enjoys being on the move, this is a great fit.
- The role requires strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills—if you love making spaces look ‘just so’ and take pride in your work, we’d love to hear from you.
- You’ll be responsible for stock control of cleaning products, toiletries, and mini-bar items, ensuring supplies are maintained and re-ordered as needed.
Availability & Working Hours
We are looking for someone available 30 hours per week, including at least one weekend day every week. Our working hours are between 8am and 7pm (no early mornings or night shifts).
Please only apply if you are available during school holidays and half terms, as these are busy periods for our business.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re a small, family-run business looking for dedicated, hardworking, and kind individuals who want a long-term role in hospitality.
We welcome applications from working mums and grandmums looking for stable, above-minimum wage employment with fixed contracts (no zero-hour contracts). Most of our team have been with us for 2-5 years, and we’re looking for someone who wants to become part of our close-knit team.
What You’ll Need to Apply
- Extensivte and high level hospitality, cleaning, or housekeeping experience (B&Bs, hotels, care work, catering, or similar roles).
- A keen eye for detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to drive & access to a car – our location is a working farm, and public transport is not an option.
- Strong organisational skills – you will be responsible for coordinating stock and cleaning tasks across multiple properties.
- Reliability and teamwork – we support each other, and flexibility to help colleagues when needed is important.
Perks of Working With Us
- Work on a beautiful Grade II listed farm surrounded by nature.
- A caring management team that understands the needs of working parents.
- Day off on your birthday.
- Bi-annual staff parties (family members welcome).
- Compassionate leave.
- Bonus holiday reward: After 1.5 years of service, you and your family (up to 4 guests) can enjoy a 7-day holiday at our sister business in Austria.
- Fixed contracts with proper holiday entitlements & SSP.
