We are seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Senior Patient Support Advisor to join our friendly and dedicated GP practice team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong customer service and healthcare administration experience who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and supporting colleagues.
As the senior member of our reception team, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive a positive experience while helping to coordinate the efficient day-to-day running of our front-line services.
About us:
We are a well-established, busy and growing GP Practice operating from two surgeries with a friendly and supportive team of 40+ staff. (GP Partners, Clinical, Admin and Patient Support teams). We look after a growing patient list that currently stands at 14500 patients. The successful candidate must be flexible to work across both our sites (Mutley and Woolwell) with some work at our PCN Hub and other sites as required.
Main Duties
- Providing exceptional patient service across reception, telephone, and digital channels.
- Supporting and mentoring reception and patient support staff.
- Managing complex patient enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Coordinating appointment booking and patient access processes.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative systems.
- Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care.

- Experience within a GP surgery, NHS setting, or busy customer service environment.

Working Hours
36 hours a week worked over 4 days - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – between hours of 08:00 and 18:30hrs.
