Proper Tasty has been proudly supplying high‑quality pre‑packed sandwiches to shops, cafés, and garages for over 15 years. As our business continues to grow with new customers and new product lines, we’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and hard‑working operative to work in our kitchen, to both produce our sandwiches and to help pick & pack the products for customer delivery and when needed, to undertake customer deliveries.
Role Overview
In the kitchen: Duties will include food preparation, sandwich production & cleaning. No experience required, although experience would be an advantage.
As a picker & packer: Duties will include picking and packing orders and operating the sandwich wrapping machine. The packing role involves working in a chilled temperature environment, 3c. and suitable warm and protective clothing will be supplied.
As a driver: From time to time you will be expected to deliver produced goods ad-hoc or undertake a full delivery round to cover for full time drivers.
In all roles you will need to have a keen eye for detail, must be hard working and be able to work well under pressure. You will need the ability to work well as part of a team.
Our kitchen operates Sunday to Friday. You will work 5 of these days, including most Sundays. Normal start time is 7am, finish times are typically around 2 to 3pm, but can from time to be later, albeit this is not too frequent.
A full driving license is essential.
