Part Time Barista
We’re looking for an experienced and friendly Barista to join our team in a fast paced café environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer interaction, takes pride in their work and works well as part of a team.
Hours
- Part-time position
- 2–4 days per week
- 10:30am – 4:30pm shifts
- Between 6–24 hours per week
- One weekend day required (usually Sunday, although flexibility is needed)
Please note: this role requires full flexibility across the available working days. Staff are expected to work the rota provided each week and applicants must be available to work scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
- Preparing high-quality coffees and hot drinks
- Operating coffee machines confidently and efficiently
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Taking customer orders and handling payments
- Using the EPOS/till system accurately
- Cash handling and cashing up at the end of shifts
- Serving cakes and other café items
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the café
- Following food hygiene and allergen procedures
- Opening and closing duties
Requirements
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Confident using a coffee machine
- Previous till/EPOS experience preferred
- Friendly, professional, and reliable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to work well in a busy environment
- Good attention to cleanliness and organisation
- Food Hygiene Level 2 & Allergen certificates preferred
If certificates are not currently in place, training can be arranged through the company.
