About the Role: We are seeking a highly driven cleaner who takes pride in their work and enjoys the satisfaction of a spotless environment. This role requires you to manage your own workload and take ownership of achieving set targets. Most of the time, you will work alongside a team member, so if you thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you. Reliability, flexibility, and experience in cleaning are essential. A full UK driving licence is required, as you'll be travelling between sites across the Scottish Borders. There is a 3 month probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across various areas, including floors, washrooms, kitchens, and common spaces, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting as needed
- Changing bedding and removing old linen
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability
- Follow detailed cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all assigned areas
- Working as part of a team, or keeping yourself on track when working independently
- Working through jobs and signing them off against checklists on our staff app

Job Details
- Job Title: Cleaner – Permanent
- Hours of Work: 38hrs
- Location: Scottish Borders
- Salary/Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
- Contract Status: 38 Hour Contract
- Working Hours: 08:30–16:00 Monday & Friday, 08:30–17:00 Tuesday–Thursday
- Work Pattern: 38 hours a week, with one weekend rotational every 5 weeks — covering 1 day, either Saturday or Sunday
- Driving Licence: Required
- Experience: Preferable, but training will be provided
