Team Member - Immediate Start
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Team Member to join our busy Newcastle city centre team.
This is a hands-on role where no two shifts are exactly the same. You will serve customers, prepare the venue for busy periods, handle payments, replenish stock and help keep everything clean, organised and running smoothly.
Newcastle is known for warm welcomes and people who know how to have a proper conversation. We are looking for someone who can bring that same energy to every shift. You do not need years of experience, but you should enjoy working with people, take pride in doing things properly and be ready to help when the team gets busy.
What you will be doing
- Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive service
- Serving customers and processing cash, card and contactless payments accurately
- Answering questions and helping customers find what they need
- Replenishing stock and keeping displays organised and presentable
- Receiving deliveries and supporting stock checks
- Keeping customer and staff areas clean, tidy and welcoming
- Preparing the venue for opening and helping with closing routines
- Working closely with the wider team during busy periods
- Following company procedures for hygiene, safety and customer service
Who we are looking for
Previous retail, hospitality or customer service experience would be useful, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided.
You will be a good fit for this role if you are:
- Friendly, approachable and comfortable speaking with different people
- Reliable, punctual and ready to contribute to the team
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Happy to stay active and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to work independently without losing sight of the wider team
- Careful when handling payments and following procedures
- Willing to learn and take feedback on board
- Available for full-time work across a flexible rota
Hours and shifts
This is a full-time-only position.
Flexible shifts are available across weekdays, evenings and weekends. Your working pattern will be arranged through a rota, so applicants must have reasonable flexibility across the week.
Part-time applications cannot be considered for this vacancy.
