About Us
Jules B is a well-loved multi-brand fashion and jewelry retailer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, offering our customers a carefully curated edit of premium and luxury designer brands. We're looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our team on a full-time, permanent, in-house basis, playing a key role in how we buy, trade, and grow.
The Role
As Merchandiser, you'll own the full merchandising cycle for your area of the business — from Open-to-Buy and financial planning through to critical path management, weekly trading analysis, markdown strategy, and range planning. You'll work closely with our Managing Directors on buying decisions, turning data into clear commercial recommendations and making sure we buy well, manage stock effectively, and trade profitably.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who enjoys ownership and wants to make a genuine commercial difference. Based at our Newcastle upon Tyne Head Office, with hybrid working considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Open-to-Buy (OTB) budget, maintaining an accurate, live view of buying spend against plan
- Manage the critical path across active seasons and brands — tracking order confirmations, delivery windows, and any slippage
- Own weekly trading analysis at category, brand, and product level, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending action
- Develop and manage markdown and clearance strategy, supported by data on stock age, sell-through, and margin impact
- Support range planning and buying appointments with data-driven analysis of historical performance and category mix
- Build strong working relationships with brand and supplier partners, managing delivery and order queries as they arise
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across our stock system, range plans, and critical path
About You
- Proven experience in a Merchandising role within fashion, footwear, or premium/luxury multi-brand retail
- Strong analytical skills, with a track record of managing OTB, critical path, and stock effectively
- A confident communicator, comfortable presenting a clear, data-led view to senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced trading environment
- A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across a business
- Experience with stock management systems (e.g. Eurostop) is an advantage but not essential
What We Offer
- A competitive salary, dependent on experience
- A permanent, full-time role with hybrid working considered
- The chance to make a real, visible commercial impact within a well-established multi-brand retailer
- A supportive, close-knit team based in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne
