Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Gas, Plumbing & Heating Installation Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is a senior-level, hands-on position for an engineer with extensive experience across domestic and commercial plumbing, heating and gas installations.
The successful candidate will be trusted to take complete ownership of projects from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic and commercial plumbing, heating and gas installations
- Complete full central heating system installations
- Install, replace and commission boilers
- Undertake first and second fix plumbing and heating works
- Complete bathroom and kitchen plumbing installations
- Install sanitaryware, associated pipework and plumbing systems
- Work on both new-build and refurbishment projects
- Install domestic hot and cold-water systems
- Install and commission unvented hot water cylinders
- Work with S-Plan and Y-Plan heating systems
- Install, alter and upgrade radiators and heating systems
- Install soil and waste pipework systems
- Carry out heating system upgrades
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Plan projects and identify labour and material requirements
- Organise and coordinate day-to-day site activities
- Lead and support other engineers where required
- Liaise professionally with customers, builders, site managers and other trades
- Keep projects running in line with programme requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
- Take full responsibility for installations through to successful handover
Essential
Requirements
- Ideally 15+ years' experience within the plumbing, heating and gas industry
- Extensive plumbing and heating installation experience
- Experience across both domestic and commercial projects
- Strong bathroom plumbing and installation experience
- Current domestic gas qualifications
- CCN1
- CENWAT
- Proven experience installing boilers and complete heating systems
- Strong first and second fix plumbing experience
- Experience with unvented cylinders
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Proven ability to run projects independently from start to finish
- Experience leading, supervising or mentoring engineers
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to work under the company's Gas Safe registration

- Additional domestic gas qualifications
- Commercial gas qualifications
- Further industry-recognised plumbing, heating or gas certifications
