Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery services, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service. Applicants must be over 25 due to insurance. Must have C1 licence.
Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles, including dropside pickup, to transport goods efficiently.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic mechanical maintenance as needed. Keep vehicles clean.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Assist in warehouse duties when required, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively.
