Job Title: Conveyancer
Department: Dezrezlegal
Location: Swansea. Remote working available for those with experience of managing a file load independently, with some requirement to attend the office for specific events.
Salary: £30K-£40K + bonus, depending on experience
Main Purpose of the Role
To provide high quality expert residential Conveyancing services to clients and introducing property partners within your allocated file load consisting of sale, purchase, and remortgage transactions of all tenure types. To actively engage and participate in the progression and success of an award- winning specialist conveyancing firm.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload of transactions from start to finish
- Draft, review, and finalise contracts, transfer deeds and other legal documents
- Conduct and review property searches (local authority, environmental, drainage etc.)
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors to keep cases moving smoothly
- Oversee all financial aspects of transactions including completion statements
- Ensure compliance with CQS, SRA, CLA, and solicitor account rules
- Support and delegate tasks to a Conveyancing Assistant
- Provide weekly file reviews and updates to clients and agents
- Spot and resolve issues early to prevent delays
What are we looking for?
- Previous extensive experience as a Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer, or Solicitor with Freehold AND Leasehold experience.
- Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes and compliance requirements
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- A confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Passionate about delivering excellent client service
