We are a well-established, family-run powder coating company based in rural Wiltshire. With over 20 years’ experience, we pride ourselves on delivering consistently high-quality finishes and reliable service to our customers. Due to continued demand, we are looking for an experienced Powder Coater to join our friendly and hardworking production team.
The Role
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for preparing and coating a wide range of metal components to a high-quality finish. You will be involved throughout the coating process — from preparation and application to inspection and final checks — ensuring all work meets company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal components for coating, including cleaning, masking and surface preparation
- Apply powder coatings using manual spray equipment
- Ensure an even, high-quality finish that meets customer specifications
- Carry out quality inspections before and after coating
- Rework products when required to maintain quality standards
- Maintain coating equipment and keep the work area clean and organised
- Work to daily production schedules and meet customer deadlines
- Handle materials safely and efficiently
- Work closely with colleagues to support smooth workflow
- Follow all company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Powder Coater within metal manufacturing, engineering or a powder coating environment
- Strong understanding of coating processes and quality requirements
- Ability to apply coatings to a consistently high standard
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Ability to identify defects and carry out rework
- Good manual dexterity and practical skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, reliable and able to meet production deadlines
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working with fabricated steel or sheet metal
- Experience using curing ovens and powder coating plant equipment
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence (beneficial due to rural location)

Health & Safety
You will be expected to follow all company Health & Safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, handle materials safely, maintain a clean working environment, and report any hazards or equipment issues promptly.
Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
