We are looking for an experienced and motivated Front of House Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our front of house catering service.
This is a key role within the catering team, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, food presentation, and operational efficiency are consistently delivered.
Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will supervise Front of House staff and agency workers, ensuring a professional, customer-focused service is provided in line with company standards and client expectations.
You will also support the delivery of catering services and events, drive operational improvements, and contribute to the ongoing development of the team.
The Role
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Front of House catering service.
- Lead, motivate, and support Front of House staff and agency team members, ensuring high standards of service are maintained.
- Prepare and present food service areas to the required standards.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, stock takes, and menu planning.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and COSHH regulations at all times.
- Monitor food waste using contract management tools and support initiatives to reduce waste.
- Monitor customer feedback, resolve issues promptly, and escalate concerns to the Catering Manager where appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues.
- Support the induction, training, development, and performance of Front of House staff in line with company policies.
About You
- Proven experience within the food service, catering, or hospitality industry.
- Ability to motivate and develop a team while leading by example.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and COSHH requirements.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proactive approach to maintaining and continually improving service standards.
- Good planning, stock management, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive, flexible, and professional attitude with a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
