Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Pub Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant pub. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, food and beverage service, and team leadership. Duties
- Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the pub, including staff supervision and customer service delivery
- Support in managing food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Supervise and coordinate team members, fostering a positive and efficient working environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas
- Assist with organising stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory
- Contribute to the development of menus, including food production and presentation
- Support bar operations, including serving drinks and ensuring responsible alcohol service
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to enhance guest satisfaction
- Assist in training new staff members in hospitality procedures, food safety, and service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with a focus on food preparation and service
- Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management capabilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production and kitchen hygiene
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Competence in culinary activities, including cooking and food presentation techniques
- Experience in serving customers efficiently in a busy pub or restaurant setting
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards, including hotel or barista experience is advantageous
- Organised with excellent communication skills, able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high standards of customer service
