Overview of the role
Are you working in Quality Assurance, Production Engineering, Continuous improvement role?. Are you looking for a multifaceted and dynamic role where you will benefit from further training and progression to Quality, Safety and Environmental Manager in a few years?

Goal orientated, can do attitude will enable the individual to work at all levels of the business to significant impact and improve both the planning of the factory and the control of the planning within the factory.
The individual will report into the Operations Director who will guide and support them using established leadership principles, he/she will grow and progress you through succession planning.
This is a key role within business and will take the lead on all management system processes and policies for both Quality & Health and safety.
Responsibilities
70% Quality Assurance 30% Safety, Health & Environment
Quality
- Working alongside the Senior Management, and key leads in the business to ensure control and monitoring of all Quality Metrics
- Compile and present monthly Quality management meeting
- Monitor NC, RFT, Rework and customer satisfaction data to identify process weaknesses and opportunities for improvement
- With the process owners, support and drive the introduction of new quality initiatives across the business.
- Working closely with the continuous improvement production engineer, audit and review policies and procedures for non conformities and opportunities and improvement.
- Responsible for the monitoring and reporting against ISO 9001 management
- Responsible for the gathering of ISO audit material ready for periodic ISO certification audits.
- Manage and report the organisations Non-conformance process identify root cause and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the Quality Inspector during peak times and time of absence.
Health, Safety & Environment
- ·Working alongside the Senior Management, Fire and first aid marshals to ensure control and monitoring of SHE matrices are maintained.
- ·Compile and present monthly SHE management meeting
- Responsible for the monitoring and reporting against ISO 14001 & 45001 management
- Responsible for the gathering of ISO audit material ready for periodic ISO certification audits.
- To support in any other tasks that are required and are within your capabilities
Essential skills:
- 3-5 Quality Assurance - Production – industrial – CI engineering role experience.
- Lean / Six sigma green belt qualified
- ISO Lead auditor qualified
- Self-motivated, self-starter, energetic and enthusiastic.
- IT literate especially Excel and SQLs
- Self-reliant, dependable, reliable, resourceful and conscientious.
- Able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- The ability to think creatively and exercise sound judgement in advising on mitigation of risks.
- Personal attributes must include our companies Core Employee Characteristics
- Maintain and promote compliance to all SH&E legislation.
Independence level/Reports to / succession / Training
- Reports functionally to the Operations Director
- Works independently and does not have direct reports.

Hours of work
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 to 16:00
Friday: 07:30 to 15:00
30 mins lunch - total of 39 hrs per week
