We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Stock Controller/Goods-In professional to join our team at the Cold Rolled Steel site in Magor. This is a key role responsible for managing stock levels, checking incoming stock, setting up solid processes, and keeping accurate inventory records to keep operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
- Keep a close eye on stock levels to make sure everything is accurate and ready for production.
- Handle all tasks related to receiving stock, including checking shipments against purchase orders and updating records.
- Keep our inventory data up-to-date and accurate in our systems.
- Develop, improve, and stick to stock control procedures.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits, quickly resolving any discrepancies.
- Provide daily reports on stock movements and inventory status.
- Assist with the implementation and use of ERP systems to better manage stock.
- Keep detailed records of pricing, purchases, and inventory metrics.
- Quickly investigate and resolve stock discrepancies to avoid disruptions.
- Work with other teams to improve stock management processes.
- Help operate cranes and handle materials as needed, using previous experience to support the team.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 3 years’ experience in stock control, goods-in, or inventory management in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Practical experience with receiving stock, managing inventories, and setting up stock processes.
- Experience improving and developing stock procedures.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software; experience with ERP rollout is a plus.
- Crane operation experience is desirable.
- Good physical stamina and able to handle manual tasks in a cold, steel environment.
- Sharp attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
