Gallagher’s Irvine Office are seeking a Trainee Private Clients Account Executive to join their established team based in the town centre. Within the role, you'll be required to provide a quality service to our clients, acquire optimal retention numbers and push for growth where appropriate.
This role sits within Gallagher's Retail Broking Division, who provide carefully tailored business insurance, risk management and risk transfer solutions. You will work with experienced Account Executives, and together provide outstanding service to our customers.

- You will be responsible for creating documents for new customers, along with any mid-term adjustments and renewal information.
- Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered onto the system in a timely manner to maintain data integrity.
- Obtain renewal terms for customers, always ensuring you've explored all available options before providing the best possible solution.
- Prepare renewal closings from meeting minutes and ensure cover is bound by the renewal date.
- Manage insurer and customer queries regarding policies. Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and chase outstanding documentation when required.
- Deal with account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns where appropriate.
- Apply fundamental legal and regulatory requirements in line with internal policies and insurance contract obligations.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent)
- Willingness to learn
- Experience working with the public in a customer-facing environment
- Excellent customer care skills with a genuine passion for helping people and delivering a positive customer experience.
- Comfortable working as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Able to work towards targets, service levels, and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative when handling queries and finding solutions.
- Eager to learn new skills and build a long-term career within the insurance industry, with full training provided.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Well organised with strong time management skills and a reliable approach to attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
No previous insurance experience is required as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
