We are currently looking for passionate, charismatic, and reliable Casual Tour Guides to join our team on an ad-hoc basis to lead scheduled walking tours through the heart of the city.
As a Casual Tour Guide, you will be the face of our city. You will lead groups through Liverpool’s iconic streets, sharing fascinating stories, historical insights, and local secrets. This is a highly flexible role, perfect for experienced freelance guides, actors, local historians, or public speakers looking for premium-rate casual work.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, informative, and safe walking tours (typically 1.5 to 2 hours) for groups of varying sizes.
- Welcome guests warmly, manage group dynamics, and ensure tours start and finish punctually.
- Deliver historical and cultural content with enthusiasm, clarity, and a touch of local wit.
- Answer questions from guests and offer excellent recommendations for things to see, eat, and do in Liverpool.
- Act as a proud ambassador for Liverpool’s local heritage.
Experience
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or guiding roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Friendly, approachable manner with a passion for sharing knowledge and stories
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends or peak times as required
- Basic organisational skills to manage tour schedules efficiently
- A genuine interest in history, culture, or local attractions is desirable but not mandatory

- People Person: Enthusiastic, warm, adaptable, and comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people from all over the world.
Pay: £30.00 per hour
