Plant Nursery Administrator
Location: Upper Broughton, Leicestershire
Salary: £13.35 per hour
Hours: Part-time (20–30 hours per week), Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours available.

Sulney Nursery is a wholesale plant nursery supplying quality trees, shrubs and plants to landscapers, developers and trade customers across the UK.
We're looking for an organised and proactive Plant Nursery Administrator to support our Stock Controller and wider operations team. This role combines stock administration, customer order processing and general office support to help keep the nursery running efficiently.
Previous horticultural knowledge is desirable but isn't essential – we'll provide full training, including our Wintree stock management system.
What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Updating stock movements, adjustments and goods received within our stock management system.
- Preparing potting sheets, purchase orders and credit notes.
- Entering customer sales orders and raising invoices.
- Processing incoming deliveries and checking them against delivery documentation.
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries relating to stock, orders and deliveries.
- Liaising with nursery managers, the projects team and finance department to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Supporting the Stock Controller with stock monitoring and investigating discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring administration is completed to a high standard.
- Assisting with improvements to stock control processes and providing general administrative support to the wider operations team.
- Carrying out regular stocktakes and rolling stock checks to help maintain accurate inventory.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage their workload effectively.
- A strong communicator with a friendly and professional manner.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Keen to learn new systems and processes.
It would be advantageous if you have:
- Previous administration experience.
- Experience in stock control, inventory management or order processing.
- Experience using stock management software.
- Knowledge of plants or the horticultural industry (although this isn't essential).
