We're looking for talented Freelance Sewing Machinists to join our team, helping to produce and maintain high-quality drapes and fabric installations used across the theatre, events and entertainment industries.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are quite the same. Your work will include:
- Measuring, cutting and machining a wide range of fabrics with precision and accuracy.
- Manufacturing drapes and curtains to exact specifications and quality standards.
- Repairing, altering and maintaining our extensive drape hire stock.
- Working from detailed job sheets and production schedules.
- Creating a variety of bespoke theatrical fabrications and soft goods.
- Assisting with site-based projects when required, including drape dressing, finishing work, repairs and alterations.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from individuals who have:
- Strong sewing, needlework and machining skills.
- Experience with curtain making and drapery construction techniques.
- Experience using industrial sewing machines (preferred).
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to work to deadlines and manage workloads effectively.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when project demands require it.
