Who we are
Every day, we're the voice of around 43,000 British farmers and growers who produce food, making sure their concerns are heard at the heart of government both online and locally. This means developing strong relationships with everyone from NFU colleagues to government ministers. So, as well as having a high profile in both the media and Westminster, we work with and support local members through a network of regional and county offices across England and Wales.
Finance
The NFU Finance department is the custodian of the NFU’s finances, responsible for accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintenance of appropriate financial records and reporting of monthly and annual accounts for statutory audit purposes.
The department manages a range of routine operations including, but not limited to, processing the weekly BACS payment run, reporting weekly cash flow and bank balances, processing payroll, staff and member expenses, raising of sales invoices and managing our advertising income.
The department is responsible for ensuring that the NFU’s finance policies and procedures are kept up to date with changes in legislation and remain fit for purpose by working collaboratively with other departments to understand the changing needs of the NFU.
