Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Painter to join our construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring projects are completed with precision and quality. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing as needed to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Select appropriate paints, coatings, and materials based on project specifications and environmental conditions.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other tools efficiently and accurately.
- Perform surface treatments such as priming, sealing, or staining to achieve desired finishes.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining safety standards.
- Assist with related tasks such as carpentry repairs, minor roofing work, or masonry touch-ups when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques and various painting methods.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity and craftsmanship skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual labour outdoors or indoors in various weather conditions.
