We are looking for a confident and experienced Bar Supervisor to join us. You'll lead the bar in our loft bar and venue running service, opening and closing the building, and keeping standards high from the first guest to the last. This is a flexible, part-time role built for someone who wants well-paid, quality shifts without the full-time grind.
Applicants must be:
- EXPERIENCED AS A BARTENDER, ideally with supervisory or shift-lead experience
- Enthusiastic, friendly, warm and welcoming
- Confident leading a shift and taking initiative without needing close supervision
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Willing to work as part of a team as well as in a busy environment providing a high level of hospitality
- Able to follow all good practices & sanitation procedures
- A strong communicator who can direct and support other bar staff
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends (daytime and evenings)
- 18+
- Personal licence is a plus (not essential)
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing bar operations and leading the team during service
- Opening and closing the venue, including keys, alarm and cash reconciliation
- Providing guests with excellent customer service and setting the standard for the team
- Knowing our menu and guiding customers with their orders
- Serving drink orders speedily and keeping the floor clear and presentable
- Maintaining front and back of house standards throughout the shift
- Ensuring clients' bills are correct and handling payment
- Effectively dealing with any client concerns and escalating to management when necessary
- Enforcing age verification and responsible service at all times
- Completing all opening and closing tasks
Hours & pay:
- 2–3 shifts a week, typically 6–10 hours each, mostly evenings and weekends in line with our events
- Ideal if you want steady, flexible hours rather than a packed rota
- £13 per hour, plus paid opening and closing premiums on every event shift a typical 10-hour event works out around £152
