Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team and deliver exceptional service across various locations. In this role, you will operate a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Class 2 truck equipped with a HIAB crane, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. Your expertise in commercial driving, coupled with your ability to handle flatbed loads and deliver outstanding customer service, will be vital to our success. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle with a HIAB crane to load, unload, and deliver goods to designated sites.
- Secure loads properly on flatbed or other specified vehicle types, ensuring safety during transit.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
- Assist customers during deliveries, providing excellent service and ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and load sheets.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements related to commercial driving and crane operation.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or HIAB crane operation skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate a HIAB crane safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
- Additional certifications in flatbed handling or crane operation are advantageous but not mandatory.
