Overview
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team on both day and night shifts. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality personal care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help foster a friendly environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day.
Duties
- Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support residents with their daily activities and encourage social engagement
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet each resident’s unique needs
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Assist with medication administration and recordkeeping as directed by senior staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety standards
- Support residents during meal times and promote independence where possible
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents and team members
- Valid driving license is preferred to assist with transportation needs or community outings
- Basic IT skills for documentation and updating care records accurately
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life
- Ability to work flexible hours across days and nights to meet the needs of the home
