HR ADVISOR

We are looking for an experienced and confident HR Advisor to join our growing People team at Select Car Leasing.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, taking ownership of employee relations and providing practical, commercially focused HR advice across a growing business.

What you’ll be doing:
- Providing trusted HR advice and guidance to managers across the business
- Taking ownership of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, capability and conduct matters
- Coaching and supporting managers through challenging and sensitive people situations
- Managing ER cases from initial consultation through to resolution, ensuring a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach
- Supporting investigations, formal meetings, hearings and appeals
- Advising managers on UK employment legislation, HR policies and best practice
- Supporting performance management, probation, development and wider employee lifecycle activity
- Contributing to HR projects, organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Helping identify ways we can improve our processes and enhance the employee experience
- Working closely with the HR Business Partner and wider People team to deliver a proactive HR service
What we’re looking for
- You’ll be an experienced HR Advisor with strong generalist knowledge and a proven track record of managing employee relations matters independently.
- You’ll be confident working with managers, able to provide clear and practical advice, and comfortable using your judgement when dealing with complex or sensitive situations.
- We’re looking for someone who is credible, solutions-focused and commercially aware, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPD qualified or working towards your qualification is desirable.
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply provide HR administration. You’ll have the opportunity to build trusted relationships with managers, take ownership of meaningful employee relations work and play an active role in shaping the way we support our people.
