Car & Van Rental Driver & Fleet Assistant – Practical Car & Van Rental (B49 6NQ)
We are looking for a dedicated, reliable individual to join our team at Practical Car & Van Rental, based at Alcester Rd, B49 6NQ (behind The Stag pub). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in vehicle presentation, and is confident driving a range of cars and vans.
Role Overview
You will support the rental operation across Redditch and Stratford-upon-Avon, ensuring vehicles are clean, presentable, and moved between locations as required. A company vehicle is provided for travel between sites during working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle collection & delivery — transporting rental vehicles for servicing, repairs, or customer transfers between Stratford-upon-Avon and Abacus Autos.
- Fleet cleaning & presentation — washing, vacuuming, and preparing vehicles inside and out at both sites.
- Basic vehicle checks — oil, coolant, tyre pressures, tread depth, lights, and general condition.
- Site support — keeping the yard organised, reporting issues, and assisting the rental team when needed.
Skills & Experience
- Cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication for working with colleagues and customers.
- Mechanical awareness is an advantage.
- Delivery/van driving experience beneficial.
- Confidence with larger vehicles — our largest vehicle is a Peugeot Luton with tail lift.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
alternative Saturdays 9am to 12pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour
