About Daisy Inclusive UK

Through our SMILE (Self-Motivation, Inclusive Learning & Empowerment) and Mini-SMILE programmes, we provide safe, inclusive and engaging opportunities for disabled children, young people and adults to develop confidence, independence, friendships, life skills and wellbeing.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced, enthusiastic and capable Mini-SMILE & SMILE Coordinator to lead the delivery and development of our programmes for disabled children, young people and adults.
This is a hands-on leadership role. We need someone who can confidently lead and motivate a small team, coordinate high-quality services and build positive relationships with beneficiaries, families and professionals – while also being outgoing, energetic and willing to get stuck in with the activities we deliver.
The role requires some flexibility in working hours, including after-school delivery during term time and daytime delivery during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the SMILE and Mini-SMILE.
- Lead, supervise and support staff and volunteers.
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive activities for disabled children, young people and adults.
- Ensure activities and support are adapted to individual needs, abilities and interests.
- Promote confidence, independence, wellbeing, social inclusion and the development of practical life skills.
- Build positive relationships with beneficiaries, parents, carers and families.
- Liaise with schools, health and social care professionals and partner organisations where appropriate.
- Coordinate session planning, monitoring, evaluation and recording of outcomes.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, risk assessments and organisational procedures are consistently followed.
- Help coordinate trips, events and community activities.
- Lead by example and actively participate in the programmes and activities.
Person Specification
We are looking for an experienced and highly competent professional who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience of working with disabled children, young people and/or adults, including people with a range of disabilities and additional support needs.
- Strong leadership skills and experience of supervising, supporting or coordinating others.
- Experience of planning and delivering inclusive activities, programmes or services.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and person-centred practice.
- The ability to adapt their approach when working with different ages, abilities and individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the confidence to work with families and other professionals.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage planning, monitoring and administrative responsibilities.
- A calm, confident and professional approach to challenging situations.
- An outgoing, positive and enthusiastic personality with a genuine commitment to disability inclusion.
- A willingness to be hands-on, lead by example and get involved.
Applicants should hold a relevant professional qualification in Childcare, Playwork, Youth Work, Education, SEND, Health & Social Care or a related field, or be able to demonstrate substantial relevant professional experience.
The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
