Senior Service Advisor
Monday to Friday | No weekends | WR3 7JW - Worcester
Recharged Automotive is a fast-growing independent specialist focused on Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and VW Group vehicles.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Service Advisor with strong automotive technical knowledge, commercial awareness, proven sales ability and the confidence to take real ownership within a busy specialist workshop.
This is not a reception role and we are not looking for somebody who simply processes bookings.
We want someone who understands how a successful automotive workshop should operate, can independently manage technically involved jobs, work confidently with experienced technicians, confidently present and convert recommended work, make sound commercial decisions, and bring the knowledge and experience to help us improve, grow and maximise the opportunities within the business.
What we need from you: Automotive experience is essential.
You do not need to have been a technician, but you must be technically capable enough to understand diagnostic reports, technician findings, repair processes and labour requirements without everything needing to be translated for you.
You will need to be:
- Technically strong and confident dealing with complex diagnostic and mechanical jobs.
- Commercially astute with strong sales ability. You should understand labour recovery, parts margin, estimating, conversion, workshop capacity and job profitability, and be confident presenting recommended work and converting genuine opportunities into authorised repairs.
- Exceptionally detail focused. Estimates, parts orders, job cards, invoices and customer communication need to be right first time.
- Fast and efficient. Accuracy is non-negotiable, but so is pace.
- Highly organised and capable of controlling multiple live jobs, priorities, parts requirements and customer expectations at the same time.
- Decisive and comfortable solving problems without constantly escalating them
- Confident communicating complicated repairs and managing difficult customer conversations
- Proactive enough to identify problems before they become delays
- Experienced enough to bring ideas, knowledge and better ways of working into the business
The role:
You will join an established Front of House team and work closely with our Service Manager, technicians and business owner.
You will take ownership of customer jobs from initial enquiry through to completion, including:
- Managing complex diagnostic and mechanical repair jobs
- Turning technician findings into accurate, commercially sound estimates
- Explaining repairs clearly and gaining customer authorisation
- Identifying and converting appropriate additional work
- Ordering the correct parts and checking application, pricing, availability and lead times
- Actively coordinating workshop workflow, technician priorities and job progression
- Identifying jobs at risk of overrunning and acting early
- Keeping customers proactively updated and managing expectations
- Checking job cards, estimates and invoices for accuracy and profitability
- Helping ensure technicians have the information and parts required to work efficiently
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of Front of House and the workshop
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, processes, customer experience and commercial performance
Help us grow:
Recharged is growing and we want somebody who can actively contribute to what comes next.
We currently operate with a growing team of 4 technicians and an apprentice, supported by a Front of House team, and we are building the structure required for the next stage of the business.
We are not looking for someone who simply learns our processes and follows them.
If you have worked somewhere that does something better than us, we want to hear about it.
We want somebody who notices inefficiencies, challenges things constructively, brings ideas to the table and has the experience to help us improve our systems, workshop flow and commercial performance as we grow.
Who would suit this role?
We would particularly like to hear from people currently working as:
- Senior Service Advisors
- Service Managers
- Workshop Controllers
- Assistant Service Managers
- Aftersales professionals
- Technical Service Advisors
Main dealer or strong independent specialist experience would both be relevant.

Christmas shutdown
A freshly refurbished, modern, air-conditioned office + reception area

Why Recharged?
We have high standards, a strong reputation and ambitious plans for the business.
We want somebody who takes pride in getting things right, understands the commercial realities of running a successful workshop and wants their experience and ideas to have a genuine influence on how a growing automotive business develops.
If you are technically capable, commercially switched on, exceptionally organised, highly accurate and naturally take ownership, we would like to hear from you.
