An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Clinical Support Assistant to join the Early Intervention Team in Psychosis (EIP) in North Cumbria
This role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality community mental health care. The post has a specific focus on the physical health pathway, supporting clinic sessions and working closely with colleagues across the wider MDT to provide holistic care to individuals within the community.
As a Clinical Support Assistant, you will support the delivery of care and treatment for service users with a wide range of needs, diverse presentations and mental health conditions, working under the direction and supervision of a registered practitioner. A key aspect of the role involves working alongside nursing colleagues within the team’s physical treatment clinics.
The team is well established and made up of a skilled mix of professionals who work collaboratively to deliver person-centred, individualised care. You will play an important role in supporting clinical staff to deliver evidence-based interventions and to engage in effective multi-agency working.
The post holder will be expected to work across the whole of North Cumbria with bases at The Civic Centre in Carlisle or Lillyhall Business Park in Workington.
To assist in the delivery of care and treatment to service users with a wide range of needs, diverse presentations and mental health conditions, working under the direction and supervision of a registered practitioner.
To implement, monitor and evaluate care interventions within an agreed framework as a member of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, individualised care that promotes recovery, wellbeing and maximises independence.
To support the effective running of treatment clinics, including undertaking physical health observations, phlebotomy, ECG's and other agreed physical health assessments in line with training and competency.
To accurately record and maintain electronic health records relating to care and treatment interventions, ensuring documentation is timely, clear and compliant with Trust policies.
To work collaboratively as a member of the team to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.
To provide compassionate care that demonstrates empathy, kindness, respect and dignity at all times.
To actively participate in supervision, appraisal and professional development processes in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
