The ideal candidate will have experience with baked goods including bread, scones and focaccia.
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate chef to join our team and help us produce our brunch menu and bring creative input to our kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with experience within a kitchen management role, culinary experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and service. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards as well as help front of house team with their duties if needed. Right candidate will be willing to step out of the kitchen and work behind the till/ coffee preparation when needed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including stock control and maintaining cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly food safety procedures.
- Collaborate with management on menu development, special events, and customer feedback.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen environment.
- Keen on expanding knowledge and willing to help front of house team when needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant/cafe or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer interaction is advantageous.
- Food and Health safety certificate preferred but not required.
Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
