Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Delivery Driver/Courier to join our team at InPost Waltham Cross depot. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles or your own to deliver packages and goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and ensure timely arrivals
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues
- Handle packages with care, including loading/unloading items at warehouses or delivery points
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive during deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier in some of the leading delivery companies such as Yodel, FedEx, DPD, Amazon, Royal Mail ....with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
- Valid UK driver’s license with a clean driving record, National Insurance Number, Share code or Visa for proof of right to work in the UK
- Experience operating various types of vehicles, including vans
- Physical ability for lifting and manual handling of packages in warehouse or delivery settings
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and customers
- Warehouse experience is a plus for handling inventory or loading tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and land navigation tools to ensure smooth deliveries
