Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the restaurant to provide a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including front-of-house and kitchen teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently
- Manage daily operations, including reservations, service flow, and customer relations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards across all areas of the restaurant
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimise profitability
- Implement training programmes for staff development in areas such as hospitality, serving, and culinary skills
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant premises in accordance with health codes
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff towards common goals
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food safety, food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with culinary practices, food safety standards, and food production processes
- Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Previous hotel or bar management experience is desirable but not essential
- A personable nature with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
