We are looking for compassionate and skilled Team Leader to help our residents lead fulfilling lives and achieve their personal goals.
The Cedars is a small CQC-registered residential care home in Clacton-on-Sea for up to twelve people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and, sometimes, early-onset dementia.
With the seafront only 200 yards away, we offer a warm, homely and caring environment to support people’s day-to-day living safely and comfortably. The building has recently been refurbished, and it feels luxurious and stylish.
Many residents at The Cedars are referred to us due to their complex needs. We work closely with our Local Authority and placements team to provide a step-down pathway from the hospital or to take care of people who can no longer live safely at home with our provision of supported living.
What you’ll be Doing
- Oversee daily operations of the care home
- Lead and support a team of care staff
- Ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulations
- Develop and implement care plans
- Manage staff schedules and training
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment
What You’ll Need
- At least 2 + years’ experience as a Team Leader in a care home.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, autism and challenging behaviours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of NVQ3 in Health and Social Care
- Minimum of NVQ2 in Medication Management
- Must be fully flexible
Shift Pattern: Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday Saturday & Sunday / Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00 per hour
