Veterinary Surgeon – Full or Part Time
We are a growing, independent small animal practice looking for a vet who shares our values: compassionate patient care, strong client relationships, teamwork, and community spirit.Although still a relatively new practice, we are already well established and proud to offer a different kind of veterinary environment - one where pets, clients, and team well-being genuinely come first.
Our diary is designed to give vets the time they need to do their job properly, with 20-minute consultations as standard, blocked emergency slots, and dedicated admin time throughout the day. This allows time to thoroughly work up cases, perform additional diagnostics where needed, and build meaningful relationships with clients that improve clinical outcomes.
We see a large number of second-opinion and complex medical cases, and we strongly believe veterinary medicine is a team sport.
Cases are discussed daily within the team so everyone is involved and supported with ongoing management of our more challenging patients.
We perform the majority of soft tissue surgeries and orthopaedics in-house, with regular visits from cardiology and imaging specialists, supported by internal medicine input when required.
We have certificate holders in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, and ophthalmology within the team.
We also invest heavily in equipment and continually upgrade our facilities to ensure we have the best tools available to provide the highest standard of care without compromise.
Most importantly, our clients genuinely see and appreciate the care and effort the team puts in every day - usually accompanied by an endless supply of biscuits and chocolate! We are incredibly proud of the relationships we’ve built with our clients and the local community, and we would encourage anyone considering applying to read through our Google reviews to get a feel for the kind of environment and culture we have created.
What we offer:
- Flexible working patterns from 2 days per week
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am–12pm)
- No OOH
- Competitive salary up to £85k (for cert holders) pro rata depending on experience

- Paid overtime or time back in lieu
- RCVS and VDS fees covered

We are based in sunny Hampshire, Bursledon, SO31 8DQ with easy motorway access, beautiful beach walks nearby, and the New Forest just 30 minutes away.
Open 9-7pm - so if early starts aren’t your thing, you’ll feel right at home here.
We are looking for a vet who is confident working independently from the outset and comfortable with routine surgeries and day-to-day case management.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working cases thoroughly, values communication as much as clinical skill, and wants to be part of a supportive team-focused practice that continues to grow the right way.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
