Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Restaurant Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food orders promptly and courteously to customers, ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and the ability to handle deliveries efficiently across various locations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver food orders to customers within designated areas
- Ensure all orders are accurate and complete before delivery
- Communicate effectively with customers, restaurant staff, and team members regarding delivery details and any issues that may arise
- Handle cash or electronic payments when necessary, maintaining accurate records of transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations during all deliveries
- Report any delivery issues or vehicle concerns promptly to management
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when required
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with local routes and navigation systems is beneficial
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle used (e.g., car or van)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
