About the Role
YBRV Cloud Technologies Italia is looking for an organised and detail-focused Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day financial operations from our London office.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and helping ensure that financial information is complete and up to date. You will work closely with the finance and operations teams and provide reliable bookkeeping support across several areas of the business.
We are looking for someone who understands the importance of accuracy, deadlines, confidentiality, and well-maintained financial records. This position is well suited to an experienced bookkeeping professional who can work independently while remaining comfortable collaborating with colleagues across the organisation.
Why Work With Us?
Professional Environment: Join a growing business where accurate financial management is considered an important part of operational success.
Hybrid Working: Benefit from a combination of office-based collaboration and remote working, subject to business requirements.
Ownership: You will have responsibility for key bookkeeping processes rather than simply performing isolated administrative tasks.
Career Development: Gain broader exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end finance activities.
Collaborative Team: Work closely with finance, operations, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in a supportive professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Transaction Processing: Record financial transactions accurately in the company's accounting system, including purchases, sales, receipts, expenses, and payments.
Bank Reconciliations: Complete regular bank and credit-card reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure financial records match supporting documentation.
Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, verify payment information, maintain accurate supplier records, and assist with scheduled payment runs.
Accounts Receivable: Record customer payments, monitor outstanding balances, maintain customer account records, and assist with payment follow-ups when required.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate ledger entries and ensure transactions are assigned to the appropriate accounts and cost centres.
Expense Processing: Review employee expenses, receipts, and supporting documentation while ensuring expenses comply with internal procedures.
VAT Support: Assist with preparing bookkeeping records and supporting documentation required for VAT returns and other routine financial reporting.
Month-End Support: Assist the finance team with month-end reconciliations, journal preparation, accrual information, and supporting schedules.
Financial Documentation: Maintain organised electronic financial records, invoices, receipts, statements, and other supporting documentation.
Reporting Support: Prepare basic financial reports, transaction summaries, aged debtor or creditor reports, and other information requested by management.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 2–4 years of bookkeeping, finance administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or similar accounting experience.
Bookkeeping Knowledge: Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, ledgers, invoices, payments, expenses, and financial record keeping.
Accounting Software: Experience using accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or comparable financial software.
Excel Skills: Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliations, reporting, data checking, and maintaining financial schedules.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain a high level of accuracy when processing financial information.
Organisation: Strong ability to manage recurring deadlines, documentation, invoices, reconciliations, and multiple finance-related priorities.
Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills when working with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and external accountants.
Confidentiality: Able to handle payroll, banking, supplier, customer, and other commercially sensitive financial information responsibly.
Qualifications: AAT qualification or equivalent bookkeeping/accounting training is advantageous but not essential where relevant practical experience can be demonstrated.
Mindset: Dependable, methodical, proactive, and comfortable taking responsibility for ensuring financial records remain accurate and current.
Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
