Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking processes by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, pots, crockery, utensils, and kitchen tools throughout shifts
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination
- Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Support the team in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper inventory management
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous manner when required, enhancing the dining experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques would be helpful
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others
