Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored tutoring sessions in GCSE Maths, English, or Science that meet individual student needs and learning styles
- Assess students’ current knowledge levels and set achievable goals to track progress effectively
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to make lessons engaging, interactive, and accessible for all learners
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate students and build their confidence
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and session outcomes
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development and areas for improvement
- Adapt teaching strategies to support students with special educational needs or learning difficulties
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE Maths, English, or Science at various levels
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and young learners in diverse settings
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting learners with additional needs
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain concepts and foster positive relationships with students and parents
- Enthusiasm for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically
