Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced setting, combining leadership with hands-on involvement in food preparation and service. Previous restaurant, hospitality, or culinary experience is essential, along with strong team management skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
- Oversee food service activities, including serving customers, managing reservations, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all front-of-house activities.
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate staff to achieve performance goals.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues promptly and satisfactorily.
- Monitor stock levels of service supplies and report needs for replenishment.
- Support training programmes for new staff members to uphold service standards and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary arts.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food presentation, and hospitality protocols.
- Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £12.80-£13.31 per hour
